the long walk home
Thursday, February 21, 2008

It was a moment of panick when I dug my hand into my bag for my ez-link/purse... and came up with NOTHING.

Never was I so feverently grateful for the fact that Carissa was there to lend a hand; the poor dear waited at the mrt station for me (the late comer) and almost killed me when I wailed that I forgot to bring my ez link to her over the phone.

And the thing was, as I was packing up, I was staring at the purse and reminding myself to bring. Like three times.

And I forgot.

I FELT REALLY REALLY STUPID LA.

Helplessness was a feeling I'd rather not get used to. I want a brain transplant with a 2 GB memory stick please. =(

Thank heavens for Carissa; if not for her, I'll probably have missed classes. I still can't decide whether it was a good or bad thing =/ LOL.

After, I insisted on walking home from Kovan, where I had went with Carissa to get her watch. She insisted on paying first for a notebook I had my eye on; there was no room for argument. She literally just took it to the counter against ALL my protests and paid for it. =)))))))))))))

Dear dear Carissa. LOL. I still can't stop laughing at her spot-on description of James. LOL.

The walk home (30 mins; I lied to Carissa that it would take only 10 mins just so she would let me walk) was a refreshing one. Along the way, I passed by Serangoon Junior College. Caught sight of the tracks and couldnt help wincing at the reminder of the 2.4km run re-takes.

Ah well.

Saw Mr. Tan (the P.E. teacher with the kid look) as he came out. I was rather amused to see him in sun glasses (Image upgrade!) and that he actually remembered me! Hees. I won't ever forgot him though, 2.4km-training-MONSTER.

I realised that long hours of sleep, though it may improve my complexion, worsens my attention span. zzz.
